A Personal Note of Reflection from Jaime, Our President…

This past Sunday morning, I woke up and had a moment of reflection about myself, my life, and the growth of Flint Stone Media. I decided to take that reflection to Facebook, and it was VERY personal. But, because it is not just a reflection of me, but also a reflection on FSM, I’ve decided to also open it up to everyone who has taken the time to get to know FSM and trust us as clients, staff, and friends. So, here is an excerpt from my post:

“Time to get this off of my chest… For the last few years, I have been in a beautiful prison of my own making. When I decided to build my own company from scratch, I knew I was taking a BIG risk. But, I bet on myself and fully committed—I mean FULLY. I don’t have wealthy parents or a husband who could support me. Instead, I had debt and a child who was looking to me for a steady ship. I knew it would be a while before I could deliver that to him (or to myself, as his needs would ALWAYS come first). But, I had to woman-up and put EVERYTHING I had into my mission. I knew that I would lose my life, if I had to keep spending it in a cubicle. And, by continuing to work for other people or to have people lie to me by dangling shiny carrots of opportunity (if I would just keep dancing for them), was NOT the way my life could keep unfolding.”

I’ve always said that “Flint Stone Media is not a sales operation; Flint Stone Media is a passion operation,” and I hope you read my entire statement below to fully understand why. I thank God everyday for the gifts and blessings He has given me. And, I thank you for being a part of my trusted universe…

I’m excited to share our big news with you this week!!

Podcasting can allow not only people to flex their muscles in this whole new genre, but it also allows a platform for people to come together in their own little think tank.” – Jaime featured in The Palm Beach Post
